Collection and Storage of Personal Data and Type and Purpose of Its Use

a) When visiting the website

When you access our website www.ctrl-s.de, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in a log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

• Name and URL of the retrieved file,
• Website from which access is made (referrer URL),
• Browser used, the operating system of your computer (if applicable), and the name of your access provider.

These data are processed for the following purposes:

b) When subscribing to our newsletter

If you have explicitly consented pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR, we will use your email address to send you our newsletter regularly. Providing an email address is sufficient for receiving the newsletter.

Unsubscribing is possible at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can also send your request to unsubscribe at any time to info(at)ctrl-s.de.

c) When using our contact form

If you have any questions, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on our website. A valid email address is required so that we know who the request is from and can respond. Additional information can be provided voluntarily.

Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is based on your voluntarily given consent under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be automatically deleted once your inquiry has been processed.

Data Sharing

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

• There is a legal obligation for disclosure under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR,
• It is legally permissible and necessary under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for processing contractual relationships with you.

Cookies

Analytics Tools

a) Tracking tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. We use these tracking measures to ensure a needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. Additionally, we use tracking measures to statistically record and evaluate the use of our website for optimization purposes.

b) Matomo

We use the open-source software Matomo for the statistical evaluation of our website’s use. Cookies are used for this purpose (see section 4). The information generated by the cookie about website usage is transferred to our servers and compiled into pseudonymized usage profiles. This information is used to analyze website usage and to ensure the tailored design of our website. There is no sharing of this information with third parties.

The IP address is never associated with other user-related data. IP addresses are anonymized so that assignment is not possible (IP masking).

Data Security

We use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in combination with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a specific page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form can be identified by the closed lock or key symbol in your browser’s status bar.
